SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - A driver new to the area pulled over to consult her GPS when 2 men with a gun robbed her as she sat in her car, police said.

"She said she saw it and froze and she couldn't describe anything more," said Sgt. Rich Charboneau.

The robbery happened just before 9 p.m. Sunday at 5th and U streets in Springfield.

The victim told police she was smoking at the time and had both the driver and the passenger windows rolled down.

She said the two men said nothing. They just reached in the passenger's seat and grabbed her purse and suitcase, then took off running.

Leticia Morales's three kids were playing Monday far from where the reported crime happened.

"Usually we just let them run back and forth to their friends, but not now," she said.

She said that while it's a relatively quiet neighborhood, she's not shocked,

"Anybody would do anything for money, or you know if they see something they like," Morales said. "They'll do whatever they have to do to get it."

She said she'll be keeping a closer eye on her kids more than ever before since the two men have not been found.
