69-year-old woman cited for DUII after crashing on Hwy 99S

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. -- Officers say they cited a Creswell woman with DUII Saturday evening after she crashed her car into a rock wall on Highway 99S about two miles north of Cottage Grove.

According to police officials, Carolyne Ebert, 69 of Creswell, was driving her Buick sedan south on Highway 99S when at around 6 p.m. she went off the road at milepost 13 and hit a rock wall.

Ebert was seriously injured in the crash and emergency crews took her to Sacred Heart Medical Center to treat her non-life threatening injuries, police said. After investigating the crash, state police cited Ebert with Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants.

Ebert's Buick came to a stop on the roadway and blocked traffic in both directions. The Oregon Department of Transportation said there were some slight delays as crews cleaned up the crash scene.
