Beavers Baseball takes #1 seed in NCAA Tournament

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- The Oregon State Beavers baseball team was somewhat surprised Monday when they were announced the #1 seed in the NCAA tournament bracket.

The Beavers have had plenty of success over the last decade, including two national championships already under their belt.

For the first time ever Oregon State is the top overall seed in the tournament. Head Coach Pat Casey said he believes the Beavers overall body of work over the season gave OSU the edge for the top spot.

Oregon State opens up the regional Friday night at 8 p.m. against North Dakota State. The Beavers have never lost a regional game at Goss Stadium.
