Two dead after plane crashes at a Toledo paper mill

      TOLEDO, Ore. -- Two people died and a third was injured Saturday afternoon when a small plane crashed in the parking lot of the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill, Toledo Police said.

      Police officials said the small, single-engine plane crashed at 4:20 p.m. Saturday in the Toledo paper mill's parking lot.

      The plane left from Newport with three passengers, heading east over Toledo. According to the Federal Aviation Administration the plane was a homebuilt RV-10 plane.

      Officials said two people died in the crash. A third person was flown by air ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. Officials haven't released the person's condition.

      The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board launched an investigation into the crash.
      Officials will to release the names of those involved in the crash once the families have been notified.
