How Prepared are YOU?! Disaster Preparedness Training

The City of Eugene Emergency Management Program, with support from The Eugene/Springfield Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Volunteers, is offering Disaster Preparedness training to citizens within the Eugene/Springfield metropolitan area.

This Disaster Preparedness training helps citizens understand overall hazards that could potentially affect our area including earthquakes, flooding, wildfires, and technological incidents. The presentation will also cover the work that the City of Eugene and Springfield Emergency Management Programs are doing to help mitigate the impacts of those disasters.

Additionally, this presentation includes information on how to build a 72 hour kit, creating a family communication plan, and information on potable water. This training will also help participants understand what to expect following a major disaster and provide an introduction to skills that will allow community members to support themselves, their family, and potentially neighbors, until professional emergency responders can assist.

The City of Eugene's Emergency Management Office is hosting this event:

      Time: June 19th, 2014
Location: City of Springfield Justice Center, 230 4th Street, Springfield, OR 97477
