EUGENE, Ore. -- A southern winter storm could cause Thanksgiving travel problems for tens of millions Americans. The Eugene Airport is expecting its second busiest day ever this Thanksgiving weekend.
"We'll have 1700 passengers through here, a little over that," said Kaitlin Hunter, an official at the Eugene Airport. "So it's about 600 more than we usually do through the airport so we're going to be very busy around here. Security is going to be a little bit slower because there will be a lot of people trying to get through security."
Airport officials suggest passengers arrive two hours before their flight. They also say those with only carry-ons should check in online to save time.
