'I was helping a customer make up a boquet, and then he holds us up'

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. - Carol Sarult's second day of work this week at the Flower Gallerie was busy, as you'd expect so close to Valentine's Day.

Around 5:20 p.m., she started helping what she thought was another shopper.

"At the end of the day, I was standing there helping a customer make up a boquet for supposedly a loved one," she said, "and then he holds us up."

"He wanted their cash, produced a weapon, pointed it at the clerk, and she gave the money to the suspect," Police Chief Mark Chase said.

The suspect was able to flee on foot. Only a small amount of cash is kept in the store, according to an employee.
