Follow Your Heart Action Network visits Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. - Curtis Reliford started the organization Follow Your Heart Action Network to donate items to the Hopi Reservation.

Reliford, of Santa Cruz, Calif., was in Eugene on Tuesday collecting items from a woman whose husband passed away.

Reliford said giving to others is a great way to make the world a better place.

"I feel like if we touch 2 percent of the United States of people with love and compassion in their heart and caring for another human being, if we touch 2 percent I believe we would make a difference."

Reliford said it all started when he wanted to make a difference by helping out after Katrina.

While making trips to New Orleans to give donations, he met members from the Hopi tribe and said it forever changed him, especially spiritually. It made him want to be the change he wishes to see in the world.
