EUGENE, Ore. - Dale and Pam Kesey have opened their home to hundreds of people less fortunate than them since 1988.

The year, as in years past, the Keseys invited around 40 homeless people to dinner.

Friends and neighbors help with transportation and cooking the multi-course meal.

The tradition started simply because they saw a need.

"When we first started, we just looked over the city of Eugene," Pam Kesey recalled. "There were homeless people everywhere, and we thought what can we do to help? So what we did is just took food out to them, and the next thing we knew we were having these big homeless dinners."

The Keseys believe everyone should feel at home for the holidays, even if only for an evening.
