Allard twins face extradition from Colorado back to Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. - An extradition hearing has started against Jody and Jacky Allard after officials in Colorado arrested the twin brothers on Sunday, May 11.

Police in Broomfield, Colo., took the Allards into custody on charges of falsely identifying themselves to police.

They are being held as fugitives from justice on warrants out of Lane County.

Lane County authorities would not identify the charges against the brothers since the Department of Justice is involved. DOJ has not yet responded to a request for comment.

The twins were heavily involved in local youth sports, owning Willamette Valley Sports Academy.

Jody Allard was a teacher at Shasta Middle School for 16 years until police raided the brothers' Eugene home in early March in connection with a child pornography investigation.

Pat McGillivray, spokesman for Bethel Schools, said the district has recommended terminating Jody Allard in light of the allegations.
