EUGENE, Ore. - When Sami Osborne first stepped onto the Willamette High School campus, Wolverines assistant coach Lance Haas says she was quiet and shy.

But now Osborne is a captain of the 13-1 top-ranked Willamette girls basketball team.

Initially a guard, Osborne has turned into more of a post player recently.

She still does it all, often playing a hybrid role in the Wolverines up-tempo offense, stretching the floor and knocking down plenty of shots from beyond the arc.

And osborne isn't alone: the Wolverines roster is loaded weapons who aren't only talented, but hard working.

Osborne says her and her teammates not only want to do well on the court but off it as well.

Ultimately, Osborne and the Wolverines want to be the last team standing this season. She says she wants to just stay consistent until they reach their goal.
