'Boat for a Cure' tracing Lewis & Clark's route to battle cancer

EUGENE, Ore. - Sunday is National Cancer Survivors Day, and Willamette Valley Cancer Institute will be hosting a slew of events to celebrate survivor's triumphs.

One of the fundraisers that will be there is called "Boat for the Cure." They are collecting funds for the Oregon Cancer Foundation.

The two men plan to retrace the Lewis and Clark trail in July all in honor for those battling and those who passed.

Fred Fort is one of the men. He said his wife had cancer twice. His little sister passed away from cancer, as did his brother in law.

He hopes to raise money in their honor and to help other families.
